Dr. Kristina considers cosmetic dentistry a specialty and enjoys showing patients the perfect possibilities with a Digital Smile Design. She takes pride in tapping into her artistic side to envision the procedures it will take to beautify your smile. And she partners with the patient to create a treatment plan that’s right for them.
If a tooth is chipped or cracked, this procedure taps into tooth-colored composite material to correct its shape or color. She also does bonding to fill the gaps between teeth and protect a portion of the root that may be exposed due to receding gums.
First, Dr. Kristina makes the surface of the tooth rough.
Then she applies a conditioning liquid that allows the bonding liquid to adhere to the tooth.
She applies a putty-like resin to the tooth and molds it to the desired shape of a perfect tooth.
Lastly, the surface is hardened by a blue light.
To improve the esthetics and function of your smile, Dr. Kristina can apply custom-made shells over existing teeth to conceal cracks, chips, stains, cosmetic imperfections or irregularities.
After the initial consultation, where she makes sure you’re a viable candidate for veneers, she will prep the tooth by removing a small amount of enamel.
She’ll take an impression of your teeth with 3D imaging.
The veneers are sent to a lab, where they are created.
Dr. Kristina will bond the veneers over the teeth with a permanent seal.
Thanks to proprietary software, Dr. Kristina can load an impression of the patient’s smile and then alter it to illustrate what the smile will look like after cosmetic treatments to make teeth more uniform and pleasant looking. She says this is one of her favorite parts of the job, helping patients smile confidently again.
Teeth that are lost or severely damaged should be permanently replaced through dental implants. The process begins with a dental surgery to implant the titanium root, to which is attached a screw-like post and an artificial tooth that looks and functions just like a real one. Since the metal fuses with the jawbone, this provides solid support for the new tooth.
Anyone missing a tooth who has a jawbone that’s reached full growth, and has the adequate amount of jawbone to support the implant, is an excellent candidate for implants. The process takes several months to allow the bone to heal and fuse before placing the implant.

She offers Botox for esthetics, to help patients look younger and more refreshed, smoothing dynamic wrinkles on the forehead and crow’s feet. She sits down with patients and takes the time to go over their esthetic goals, for instance, do they want to eliminate the frowning “11s” wrinkles between their eyebrows?
For patients who want a perfect smile, without a mouthful of metal, Invisalign clear aligners are the gold standard. Through Invisalign, teeth are gently moved into their optimal position, overcoming common problems with function and esthetics, such as crowded teeth and crooked teeth to overbites, underbites, cross bites or gaps in teeth. Dr. Kristina enjoys helping patients discreetly beautify their smiles in less time, with less discomfort than traditional metal wire braces. She will take a scan of your teeth to show what’s possible, creating a realistic “before” and “after.” Then she’ll send the digital information to the Invisalign lab, where your sets of aligners will be made. When the trays are delivered, she’ll educate you about their use and when and how to change them. Along your course of treatment, she will check on the progress.
